According to agreement 27 of 12/06/1991 of the Academic Council, animal husbandry is an under degree program whose object of study is oriented towards the production of domestic species and its importance for the Colombian society; by its contributions of protein, fat and other nutrients for the human feeding, being fiber sources and for the elaboration of dresses, being a way of transport, and a source for organic fertilizer in agriculture.
