•  Establishment and control of plans in genetic improvement, feeding and reproduction in diverse livestock exploitation systems, with domestic species animals or whose habitat and behavior can be controlled by the man, with aims to reproduce them and products such as milk, eggs, meat, wool, skin and work fundamentally, within an ecological, economic and social rationality.

•  Formulation of policies to raise strategies and to optimize the livestock resources available.

•  Participation in the formulation of industrial products, animal diets, and the evaluation of these.
